Default 94 Club Car DS Slow in forward and reverse

Hello,
I have a 94 Club Car DS that I have had over seven years. It has been a great cart but all of a sudden the other day it just got slow in forward and reverse is even worse. It has a set of Trojan 605 batteries that are about a year old. Back a few months ago the selinoid and the V-drive were replaced just from wear or two young sons that drive it like they stole it every day. Anyway I just replaced the forward/ reverse switch and it did not fix the problem. I just took it out and the resistors seem to get very hot but no wires that I could tell were hot???? What am I missing?? Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Also wheels off the ground, both forward and reverse look like they are working but when you put it on the ground and drive it is very slow to almost nothing. Also tested batteries and all six read between 6.38-6.54 and 38.5 total. While jacked up and mashing the pedal it falls to 37.9.

BTT. I could really use some advice here. I have also load tested all six batteries and they all tested good. I do not have a hydrometer. Anyway I am now wondering if I have a bad motor??? Any help would be great.

Do the battery load test with the cart on the ground, sounds like a battery problem or a bad connection in the high amperage system OR the gas peddle / speed wiper is not reaching the top speed lug in the Vglide.

Thanks for chiming in! Ok I actually drove the cart in the driveway but had to help it by pushing it back in the garage but that is when I did the load test was after trying to drive it. As for the v-drive it was replaced about a month ago, and after inspection the wiper is moving throughout its range. Please keep the help coming.

if batteries are good and everything in v-glide is working have you checked to see if brakes are hanging up? theres nothing else there in that system and if resistors are getting hot with pedal to the floor then its not getting to full speed which goes right back to v-glide or batteries.............................

Brakes are not hanging at all that I can tell but could the v drive be bad even though it is almost new?

yes its possible, dosn,t happen a lot but its possible...................theres nothing else in that speed system so it has to be either there or the batteries or a drag on the system somewhere.....now keep in mind that reverse is only 1/2 speed so it runs on 18 volts and is gonna be slower......................

Just reinspected wiper and noticed it looks like the wiper is burnt. I don't know why?? But I think the v glide is the problem. Thank you for the help. Please keep it coming.
