Default New DPI charger, new problems

I have a 2003 CC 48v series cart. I bought a new DPI charger and was having problems getting it to work correctly. I jumped the receptal gray wire to 6th battery negative but charger still would not work. I eventually removed the 6th battery negative cable and charger now works.
Hopped on cart this morning and no go. The solenoid is not clicking. Does the OBC have any control over the solenoid? And yes I did hook the 6th battery cable back up. Any suggestions? If I run a jumper on the large terminals of solenoid, will my key switch still turn power off in case of an emergency?

I did a search on BGW and found where OBC controls activation circuit of solenoid. I ran a wire from #6 battery neg to yellow wire on solenoid. Cart runs now.

Just remember that by doing that the cart will now run even if you forget to disconnect the charger from the cart. The OBC is obviously faulty as the yellow wire goes to it and it disconnects negative so the car can't be driven when on charge.

I had continued problems with the charger not charging. I finally removed the plug and attached clips on the wires and directly clipped the charger to batteries. Works like a charm now.
Obviously I had a problem in the cart receptal. I wonder if my old charger still works? I'll try it on a different cart and if charges, sell it on CL.

did you run the cable back thur hole in OBC? if not you have to........and yes OBC has a solenoid lockout circuit.............but the neg. cable from #6 battery has to go thur OBC and not around it......theres a voltage sensor in there.............................
