Will the 1981 club car wiring diagram work for a 1980's model. Thanks for any help as I just inherited this cart and any other suggestions will be appreciated as well.

Having trouble running wires from motor to solinoid, battery and F&R Switch. The 1981 diagram has different posts on the motor than the 1980 motor. The 1980 motor has 4 posts like the1981 but they are arranged different. Thanks for the help.

Are all of the posts on the motor the same or does each one have a designated spot? What I mean is will I hurt the motor if I experiment with the wiring? Right now the solinoid is hooked to the battery and I think that the solinoid should be connected to the motor. So which post should I disconnect on the motor?? Rather confused.

Each one has a designated spot. You have A1, A2, S1 and S2. DO NOT experiment with connections.....unless you like buying parts. Get a diagram and follow it as it's shown.
