Does your cart have the wiring similar to the 81-85 diagram?

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-diagrams.html

If so, you would need the battery cable kit, and then 4 additional motor cables.

Scotty? Please respond when you get the chance. I have some questions but would like to keep them in the open if you dont mind.

Your knowledge needs to be shared.

1) is it worth the upgrade to 4 gauge wires on my old 83 series resistor cart?
2) are your wires color coded just like the oem's are?
3) if i go to 4 gauge should I also upgrade the F-N-R
4) ____________left blank so I can add more

1) is it worth the upgrade to 4 gauge wires on my old 83 series resistor cart? Every DC drive vehicle whether it's a 83 CC or a moonwalker can benefit from upgrading the amperage delivery system. Will new cables make your cart run noticeably better? Maybe, it depends upon how bad your current set is and the sum condition of all the amperage delivery components. If your cables are original it is very likely that they have built up interior resistance and new cables will increase usable torque as well as some speed from recouped voltage losses.
2) are your wires color coded just like the oem's are? No. I use a number tag and picture diagram system. I do use black and red shrink wrap ends to indicate battery + and -.
3) if i go to 4 gauge should I also upgrade the F-N-R? Yes. In a series drive system all the amperage going from the battery pack to the motor goes through the F&R. It is a good idea to make sure your F&R is up to the same standard as the Cables, if not it will become a bottleneck in the system
4) ____________left blank so I can add more
I am sorry I do not offer cable sets for stock resistor drive carts. I do make a bolt in conversion kit for resistor to solid state speed control seen here > http://cartsunlimited.net/Scottyb_s_Conversion_Kit.html I hope this helps
