Club Car DS 36V Charging Issue
I have rebuilt a 95 Club Car DS 36 volt V Glide with resistor coils. Every part is brand new including cables and 6 new Trojan batteries. I also have a rebuilt Lester II charger that I purchased from a local golf cart store. I have tried charging my cart 3 times and every time I have to manually unplug the charger because I can hear the batteries boiling. I have checked the static charge of the cart and it is between 48-50 volts and when it is under a load it is 44-46 volts. I've been told that the static charge on a 36 volt cart should be no higher than 42. I have taken the charger back to the shop and they tell me nothing is wrong with the charger, it's my cart. My cart does not have a OBC, so I'm wondering are there any suggestions as to what my problem could be?
