Default Ignition key left on

Hello. I have a 2000 CC DS 48volt. If the ignition key is left in the on position for several hours at a time without using cart can any damage be done or any parts controller or maybe solenoids have premature wear? What about if its left on overnight? Kids in household! Thanks for any responses.

Wouldnt think so. They get left on for 5-6 hours at a time playing golf.

It shouldn't. Check to hear that :
1. the solenoid clicks when you turn the key on
2. the solenoid clicks again after several moments of inactivity.
3. the solenoid clicks again if you press the gas.

SO in review;
1 = solenoid and ignition on
2 = solenoid off. this is how the cart is left idle.....
3 = solenoid , ignition, controller active and ready to go..... this can happen any time a baby or dog or rabbit presses the gas peddle..... therin lies the danger.

Enjoy the cart.

I've been to a few golf courses where the key is removed and the cart is always in the on position so most likely it shouldn't hurt (I'm no expert though).
