Default Re: New Alltrax and Solenoid install: nothing working

Ok right now I have the diode off and the light blue wire is on the same side of the solenoid as the main 2 gauge wire coming from the pack and the dark blue with stripe wire is on the side of the solenoid with the 2 gauge cable going to the controller B+ terminal. See picture below for details. When I cut the key on (with the run/tow switch on run) there is a loud click from the solenoid and the controller light blinks green 7 times then turns solid green when I but the cart in forward and press the throttle nothing happens, the solenoid doesnt click at all even after holding the throttle down for a while. Then when I cut the key back off the solenoid mades another loud click and the light on the contoller cuts off.

I'm not a Precedent expert but... The solenoid should click when you press the gas.
I can tell that you had the diode on backwards initially. This would have created a direct short. I'm not sure what the results are in the Precedent, I know in an Ezgo that diode mistake ends up in a blown throttle peddle micro switch and the cart acts like you describe. BUT. This is not an ezgo so we need to wait for better advise, I will text TahoedawgZ71 and see if he can help.

Are you positive it is the solenoid that clicks because that should not be happening, instead maybe it is the controller clicking on and that would be normal at key on.

Are you sure about this? That is the way a Sepex Ezgo operates.

In fact I just checked my cart and key on make no sound, but the light sequence starts on the comtroller. Only sound is when it in forward or backward and depressing pedal and then solenoid engages and that is the only click except for the click after it disengages after releasing the pedal.

The more I think about it I think his controller cannot pickup correctly what the mcor is sending, just like we have been saying. Its like it is seeing pedal engaged at key on but no throttle response with pedal movement. I am thinking this because he said he had error codes when switching from forward to reverse. And I think that error code would indicate the controller thinks the pedal is still depressed and never let off. To me its looking like these systems are not compatibale and might want to see if a ge controller will work or trying to go to the old mcor system.

Maybe he fried it with the diode but I doubt it because he never really had power to the controller. Idunno

Yea the only clicks I am getting are when I key on and key off. and if I key on with it in nuetral the green lights on the contoller blink then go solid and when I switch it to forward or reverse the green light stays solid. But if I key on with the cart in forward or reverse the controller blinks the three red lights idicating that the throttle never went to zero and when I switch it into nuetral and back to forward or reverse the green light comes back.

The pictures below show my MCOR. I unscrewed it from the throttle assemply and the first picture is of the underside of the MCOR that faces the throttle assembly and the second picture is of the throttle assembly components that are underneath the MCOR. It was a white plastic round thing that spun inside my MCOR as the throttle is pressed but there is no wires other than the ones in the plug shown in the picture.

Maybe remove the mcor wire attachments, clean terminals and plug back in, its worked for others.

Is there a linkage from the padal to the mcor or is it totally electronic, I cannot tell by pics.
