Talking update and questions

Have an 08 precedent, bought new Trojan 12's. I have followed the 12 step break in process exactly. (with the price of these 4 they are my children). Charged pack and would bring down to right at 49.6. It has taken about 4 miles to do this. Pack seems to be getting stronger as I go forward. Also, charge time has decreased. Question#1, I have the madjax light kit hooked up to battery #4 just like it was set up to be. I rarely drive at night and if I do it is just to and from a deer stand, about 1 or 2 miles, other than that I dont do any long night time joy driving. Also have no radio or anything else. Would it be best to hook system us to a dedicated 12 volt battery? Or just keep it like it is. I dont want to hurt one battery for the sake of lights. If left like it is, will the charger charge the #4 battery up to the same as the others? Question#2, all is stock other than the jakes 6" lift and 22" tires. Would I see an noticable increase in Torque if I put in a 400 amp controller? I care nothing about speed, I clocked my speed yesterday and on flat surface I am getting 17 miles an hour. I am assuming it is set at speed 3 or 4?? If a 400 amp would give much better Torque, would it draw down the pack faster? Looking back I have more than 2 questions, Any help to these questions would be appreciated.

I would purchase a 48v to 12v reducer for the light kit. I pulled off of one battery on my last pack and feel like it hurt the battery life. If you think about it, when you pull of off one battery, I see no way to keep the batteries consistent as for as discharging and charging rate. It seems to me, the battery from which you are pulling would have a shorter life. Those more knowledgeable, correct me if I am wrong.

Agree with nobogez and you do not use lights enough to warrant a dedicated bat.
