07 Precedent Not charging after wire corrosion
I have a 2007 Precedent 48v that I replaced the batteries on recently with Trojan batteries. It is lifted. The kids were riding around and said that it quit running. I went and looked and one of the cables was pinched between the seat and one of the battery terminals was melted. I noticed that the cables looked corroded. I bought new 3 gauge wire and replaced the wiring from battery to battery and from the controller and solenoid. I plugged the charger in and it didnt do anything. I know that the charger is still working because it charged another cart. What do I check next?

Did you replace the negative battery wire that goes through the OBC? That wire has to go through the OBC or cart wont charge.

Re: 07 Precedent Not charging after wire corrosion
I am doing this all on my own so OBC?
I just disconnected all of the wires from the solenoid (+) and controller(-) and the 3 that are connecting the batteries and replaced them. I reconnected them just like they were. Did I miss something? I could have because I did it on my own. |

The main negative wire going from the battery pack to b- on controller goes through a little hole in what is referred to as an "on board computer". Is that how yours was and is that how you rewired it?

I didn't run it through that hole. I forgot to run it through there when I crimped the ends. So, it wont charge unless the wire runs through that hole?

Speedchaser,
I ran the wire through the onboard computer system hole and I still get nothing. What do I check next? I'm at a loss now. |

Have you reset the OBC since you have it wired correctly?
