powerdrive2 blowing fuse
FACTS
o4 club car Regen IQ 48v PowerDrive2 model 22110 6-1yr old Trojan batteries PROBLEM after yellow light came on charger was plugged in starts charging (approx 5min) then blows 15 amp fuse on charger after unplugging charger and waiting 5 min .. fuse will reset and when it is plugged back in it starts to charge again.. then will cut off and on 3-4 times then blow fuse when charging volts are 49.4 to 49.9 .. 46.3v before charging .. 46.9 when charger stopped amp meter is pegging over 15 when charger starts and staying pegged THINGS TRIED checked fuse to OBC .. good reset OBC x2 The reverse buzzer will sound and go off in about 30 seconds. buzzer never sounded by-passed OBC .. same results when charger is plugged in can not find another charger or cart to test out charger ..YET (im lookin) ideas ?? |

Yes, replace those three things and you will be good to go.
I had this exact same problem on my 2002 IQ DS this summer and it was my charger. |

thats the same seller i found with a $32.50 kit .. the $39.99 kit says heavy duty .. do you think i need the heavy duty (50 amp) kit ??

then again he sells kits $30 .. OBO ... i also see the 50amp is an upgrade so that is a good thing ! i will be e-baying |

The heavy duty rectifier is better if you've got a lot of power surges in your area. It's a little tougher than a standard 35Amp rectifier.

I just bought the standard one, which said oem parts which is what was in it from the factory, but HD never hurts I guess

great news !! neighbor had a powerdrive2 charger ... hooked it up and it started chargeing ... turned it off and took 15amp Circuit Breaker and put it in and yeehaw it works .. went and got 2 15amp Circuit Breakers at local shop and replaced them both and kept good one as spare .. thanks for all the help !
1 question ... how long will it take to charge ? it was at 46.6v when i restarted charger (after OBC reset) |
