Sorry got cutoff..**** smart phones.. Anyway no place to store it at my house..could possibly take it to my brothers place for winter where it could be kept inside and plugged in..is it ok to leave it out all winter? Some people at the camp say they leave there electric carts there all winter and have no problems with batteries freezing..what do you all think? I could leave it connected to charger all winter but wasn't planning on leaving electric up there on all winter at camp..any thoughts or experiences would b big help..thanks!!

My carts spend the winter in southern Wisconsin every year. I visit camp once a month to check on things, take the carts for a short ride, and put them back on the chargers. Fully charged batteries will not freeze until like 70 below zero. Certain Club Car chargers will kick themselves back on if the pack gets low, so leaving them connected would allow that to happen.

I would vote for taking it to your brothers and plugging it in. Better to keep an eye on it then to just hope all winter. Besides you might get bored one day and realize how much fun carts are in snow.

Or you could just disconect the fully charged batteries, cover cart, and walk away.

Best to keep cart plugged in. The charger also acts as a maintainer. Most chargers have an automatic shut off.

That is exactly what I did with my 98 48V DS, for a number of reasons:

• I never trusted the local electrical service at my campground.
• During snow/ice storms, you get voltage spikes, and downed lines that can fry everything electrical/electronic that's not protected!
• There are times when you just can't check the cart/charger. (distance to camp, deep snow...etc.)
• If by chance there is a bad battery cable your unaware of, it may toast one or more of the batteries.
• My CC dealer also told me this is the best way... and... it's actually says so in the CC manual!

The list goes on, but that's where I'll leave it!

IF you have decent batteries, get them to charge fully, unplug the charger from the wall and the cart, and wait 10 minutes,
plug the charger back in, and wait for it to shut off again, unplug the charger, place the tow/run switch to tow (if applicable)
and disconnect the main positive and negative to the pack, cover the cart and go.
