OK Guy's, thanks to both of you
To me, I thought that the $150 was very high
I plan to buy the Curtis Programmer for myself, and I will get with Club Car about becomming an Authorized Dealer of the used carts ( AUTHORIZED USED CART DEALER ) and I just wanted to know if it is something I should be interested in doing as a Customer Convienence at a very reduced price.

I hate to invest that much for just one cart
Any thoughts ?

. . . don't buy the programmer until you talk to CC first about your venture . . I believe they use a proprietary version of the Curtis 1311-4401 programmer for their carts . . Tahoe would know for sure . . .

Thumbs up Re: Club Car Precedent I2 Excel Speed Upgrade

OK thanks again guy's
I spoke to the dealer in Baton Rouge today
He will do them for me at $75 each
That is reasonable to me
I will bring My Personal cart to them this Thursday
I am running 21" Lo Profile tires on 14" rims right now and it goes 18mph now
I'll update everyone to the new top speed after programming
I will lift another unit and put 26" tires on 14" wheels after programming and report the speed

UPDATE:
I went to both dealerships yesterday
BOTH told me they must BUY the code from Club Car now for $150
I think that is BS, but, I am not a Club Car dealer, and BOTH wanted $150 to install this code with their programmer
Instead of paying this $300 for a code that I KNOW is free, I installed a Hi Speed motor that I got from another Non Club Car dealer ( Ez-Go Dealer ) and now I Radar'd my cart yesterday, fresh charge, flat smooth street, cool weather
28.2mph
I am told that if I put the magnet on it it will go past 30mph

Any thoughts

Dale D

PS: The motor brand is something like an Electrical Motor Products or some bullshit like that
I'll put my cart on the lift today and take a pic of the tag on it

Just a FYI, but what you KNOW is wrong, speed code 4 must be purchased from CC by an authorized dealer, it aint free, and last I knew was around $100.00, plus install

I know the obvious answer is 'because they can', but why put in codes and make customers go thru hoops to unlock potential already in the motor.
