Talking NEW TITLE: My Club Car Remodel Thread

You'll have to visualize this for a day or two, but drove to the nearest club car dealer today and picked up a few items to further my transformation.

Picked up a good condition used front windshield strut. It's the black bow looking style from the newer DS carts.

Also picked up a used good condition buff bottom cushion for the front. It will match the one piece buff seat back I picked up from them used a month or so back. (previously was white cushions with split seat backs)

Lastly, picked up a new black 80" top. This is the newer style tops with the built in aluminum tracks for curtains. They didn't tell me the brand, but from looking on the internet I think it is a VIP brand top. Grabbed a new, clean 5 panel mirror to go with it.

Got the seat cushion swapped out, and the new front window strut installed, but I'm not sure I can put the top on as I don't think I've got the correct rear struts on hand.

Hard to see it with the iphone pics but seats are buff.

Think I figured out the controller differences too. The 500 doesn't seem to have the speed and umph of the 400 I had in it. Looking at the controller pro screen shots though, it looks like the 400 had the special club car field map installed that is used when it doesn't see full throttle.

It's raining today, so I can't test my theory, but from studying the program info on both, and reading on the internet, I bet my controller now isn't seeing full throttle, so I'll check that with the laptop as soon as I get a dry day, and then download the custom field map if needed.

They sent me one called iq_map3.zip. I think hex file was same name. It installed club car field map 6 which I'm guessing is the plane Jane default settings.

It would be great to see which one you have if you want to post it. Thanks.

Tried to upload but it says its an invalid file, I guess this site does not hav the ability to upload a hex file so someone else can retrieve it. I converted to a zip file so here ya go. The file is clubcar5.hex

I don't think it's seeing 100% but haven't had a chance to confirm.
