Default 88 DS help

I have a 88 DS. Just installed all new batteries a weeks ago. On the first time I took the cart out it ran great. I charged the cart back to full charge and the second time that I took the cart out I went about two miles and the cart died (loss of battery power) I charged the cart to full charge again and now it might go fifty yards before it dies.

I charge the batteries for 24 hours and check them with a multimeter it will show 35.5-35.9 vdc Once I loose power it will show voltage at about 15-17 vdc. I dont know if I have bad batteries, bad charger, or what. Need help.

STOP! You may be hurting your batteries. Deep discharges can reduce the useful lifespan of a wet cell battery..... it is very important that you get the cables straightened out and get the pack charged up 100%.

Do not leave them to sit in a state of discharge.

Your cart is figure F below
Fully charged is 38.2 12 hours after the charger turn off... recharge at or before 36.3

Here is what I suspect based on the information you gave.
Look at figure A
Figure A and F are very similar and it is easy to install a bastardized version of either even with the stock cables. IF this happened you may have your charge + cable on battery #5 instead of at the end of the line (#6). To check if this is the problem check voltage with the (DMM)meter at the pack mains and then at the charger receptacle. It will be off by close to 6v or one battery if I am correct. Also Battery #6 will be very low by now.... it's not getting any charge, just drained.

There is not a doubt in my mind that you are charging 5 batteries!

Check the voltage at the receptacle. post it here.
Check each battery and post the 6 individual voltages here.

US1800 is the amp hour rating.
I am asking for a voltage reading taken with a meter. Do you have a voltmeter?

Total pack charge is between 35.72 and 35.76. Individual battery voltages are as follws. 1=5.96 2=5.97 3=5.91 4=5.98 5=5.98 6=5.92

I have a feeling that my charger is bad. What is the best way to test a charger?
