Default Need some battery help PLEASE

Hi Folks, l wanted to see if anyone could help me diagnose my problem. I have a 2008, 48 volt club car. THe batteries are the original Trojan that came when I purchased. I started to see a steep decline in run time so I simply put a volt meter on the batteries and saw one was a lot lower than the other three.
I went to Sams and bought a Duracell replacement and charged everything. My indicator light is going all the way to full, but even after replacing one of the 4, it still is not running long before loosing power.
I put the meter on all the batteries today and all are close to 12 volts, however, one of the old trojans is at 10volts.
Can you run different brands or do I have to replace all since they are 5 years old?

THanks everone!

Looks like your bats are in sad shape, I would replace. Just did that to my cart couple months ago but I converted the bat tub and pit in 6 8 volt bats. Much better performance now. If you wan to convert look for the thread at top o stickies.

Go ahead and replace them all, at 5 years, they are close to the end of their lives. Pick a good brand like Trojan or US, it will be worth it if you take care of them!

Is your cart a Precedent, if so what is the serial #? Mid year 2008 they converted to a 6 bty 8 volt setup, I've seen some with 4 12 volt bty's when the cart will accept eithr 8 or 12 volt bty's. If it will take the 8 volt by all means go with the 8 volt bty's.

The 8 volts will go longer, harder, faster and last a few more years than the 12's. that is why Club Car aborted the 12 volt bats, they are crap.

how about 6 years of battery life with 8 volt verses 3 years for 12 volt batteries.
