Club car electric arcing in motor
I was putting the hood back on my electric club car and i arked the two wires on the motor with a rachet smelled something getting hot. The resistor on the selenoid was hot u couldnt touch it. And then we started checking other stuff and the motor controller box was warm. Pulled the plugs on it and the bottom plug arked. Thats as far as we got. Any ideas as to what we should do next?

Re: Club car electric arcing in motor
So you think it's only the controller motor and not the actual motor too?

Re: Club car electric arcing in motor
I'm not sure what year but its a 36 volt. We just got this for my son for Christmas and my husband took it apart to paint it and he was reattaching the hood when this happened. We don't have any experience with golf carts as you can tell :/
Thanks for the help. My husband is checking everything today after work. |
