Longer charger cord for DS
I have a 2003 CC DS IQ that I am wanting to put a longer cord from the charger to the golf cart. What I am going to do is mount the charger in a storage building with the cord coming through the wall and staying plugged in to the golf cart in the car port. This will let me keep the charger inside locked up and protected. Does anyone know of a 10' long replacement cable. I haven't been able to find one.
thanks! |

Designmine,
Why can't you just add an extension/wire? Splice it at the charger? Just a thought. Steve |

Re: Longer charger cord for DS
Steve, I could do that but I was hoping to have a more finished looking wire and not just 'spliced' together but that may the the route I may have to go. I guess I could wrap it with black tape.
Thanks for the idea! |

Re: Longer charger cord for DS
Buy a replacement plug 'cart end' off ebay, and some cable, and make your own. One piece, with no splices.

Re: Longer charger cord for DS
To me the splice would be the easiest and lowest money cost, if it's properly done it would be just fine. I dont know what guage wire but why cant you just look/disconect it inside the charger?

Re: Longer charger cord for DS
If you extend it too long you may want to go up a gauge in wire..

Re: Longer charger cord for DS
I have a brand new 12' cord still in the bag but it has the forked prong for a 36V unfortunately.
