Default DS trunk

Has anyone else bought trunk for their DS? As advertised, it came without "hold down" hardware as the sales person told me it was a tight fit... real world, it has 1/2 gap all around, to ensure I wasn't seeing things, installed in rear area, took off and it fell off.

Additionally, it it 2 inches higher installed than picture... OK, enough complaining, if someone has bought and then modified to fit and appear as if it belongs to CC DS, any input or modification advice? Otherwise, when I return from Bahrain, it will go to design board for re-work, fit and paint.

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas and will enjoy their New Year's Eve events.

Will post tomorrow, contacted vender for possible return.... when comparing to web ad pic, not the same look, it will take lots of fabracation to make it work. If it was a tight fit in the trunk area (joke not intended), I would keep, but it is a sloppy fit and falls off when moving.

Attached is website sales ad picture, showing trunk well below the body lines and motor access cover. Other pictures are reality, note the gap in the body to the trunk, when I called the sales person they stated no “hold down” accessories were needed for it was a tight fit. 2.25 inched above the top of the cover, almost five inches from where the sales ad picture shows.

As mentioned, if falls out when empty, I didn’t put anything in it for I wanted to see if I could return it, the modifications to make it fit properly are too much to make it look good.

Now had it looked and fitted as in the picture, then no problems. I would laugh, but my wife got this for me for X-Mas and is upset that it is not working, the only gift I requested and it is incorrect fit... Club Car is a 97 DS and it is sitting flat on the bottom of the bagwell.

You sure they sent you the right one?

The first picture is of an EZ-GO with the trunk installed. Maybe you got hold of some sales droid that doesn't know anything about carts?

That first pic is actually a Yamaha

If this is from BU (I suspect it is) It's not un-common for them to send the wrong part/parts based on the part not being marked.
It may be worth checking if you are truely still interested?

Good luck.

Yea, now that I have my glasses on and things aren't so blurry, I see that now. Enlarging the thumbnail to a full size picture helps too...

They opened other boxes, all were they same size, going to contact manufacturer. Saw an Ergo this evening that had the same Club Car body lines with a trunk lid.... going to look toward this direction... it look good and matched the body curves.
