Default New wheels/tires. Do I need to replace or grease hub

Hey guys. My new ITP wheels/tires are coming tommorow. Do I need to grease anything at the hub area before I put the new wheels on? Should the bearings be replaced for any reason?

Nothing seems to be wrong the way the cart rides, but i just want to do the proper maintenance.

Thank you
2008 CC Precedent Electric IQ.

I don't see a need to replace anything, but I would grease all of the fittings. You should see them around the hubs, or if you have a manual it will show you where they all are.

I agree, I would hit all of the grease fittings with a pump or 2. If the cart is new to you or you aren't sure the last time the bearings were checked, I might check them just to be sure.

Also, post some pics of your new wheels!!

When I replaced my hubs recently the dealer told me they came pre packed with grease. They said it was called a service pack and ready to go. that said, I don't see a grease fitting on mine and wasn't sure how you guys are greasing your hub bearings.

The wheel bearing area (hub) doesn't have a grease fitting, at least as far as I know. There are fittings on the stock spindle assemblies, tie rods, etc.

Just pack the wheel bearings as you would to an automotive wheel bearing. If they come pre-packed, that is good!

Gotcha. I saw the fittings on the steering and tie rod ends, but that's all I've found on mine.

Heres my new ride. Thanks boys for your info! I'll just inspect and pack the hubs good with grease. I already hit the grease fittings real good. New wheels and tires getting delivered tommorow! I'll take another pic when they are on. I think i will be ordering the Jakes 3 in spindle lift depending how the wheels/tires look without a lift. I do not want a low rider look. The wheels are 10 in with 18 in tall tires.

I really do not want to screw up the Jakes lift install. I have all the tools neccessary but i don't want to break something or screw something up. From what i hear the instructions aren't the best. Can a novice like me put this on myself? Thanks

Yes, a Jakes lift kit is easy. The only negative about them is the turning radius of your cart will be limited with that type of lift. An Allsport A-arm lift kit would allow you to have better turning radius.

Thanks DJ. Seems like theres more positive feedback on Jakes than All Sports. Would you pick one over the other for any reason? Turning radius isn't a huge issue for me, but def good to know this.
