My old 1984 club car came to a halt. the engine is spinning but no go forward or reverse, just spins. Any way to fix this?

Re: Axle stripped out
Does a CC have an Axle nut? I have only seen the axle flange with 4 wheel studs in it?

Re: Axle stripped out
I have a complete rear axle assembly out of a 2004 club car. Not sure if its worth the cost of shipping or if it would even fit but I can snap some pics or measure it if you are interested. I've been trying to figure out what to do with it anyway.

Re: Axle stripped out
I don't know it is still sitting on the side of the road, I will check it when I get home. It sounds and acts like a gear stripped. I don't know if you can see it with the rear wheel off or not. My motor is on the right side so hoping taking left wheel off will show me something.

Re: Axle stripped out
I doubt if it's worth it, mine is a 1984 model and I probably need to look aropund for a good used replacement. It sure has been a tough old cart. Thanks for thr reply. When I know more about it I will know more what to do.

Re: Axle stripped out
If you think one is broke maybe measure length on either side of diff and we can see if one of mine might fit. May be completely different but could give me an excuse to try taking mine apart. Good luck on it. :)

Re: Axle stripped out
I looked at axle and It seems to have four wheel studs connecting it to the rear end. Haven't gotten any farther than that yet. Looks as though it is connected on both sides the same way.

Re: Axle stripped out
I wish I could find a schematic of the rear end, gears and houw the motor connection to the axles look like, but I don't have a clue as to what to expect. I took the wheel off and It looks like I will have to drop the springs and wheel as one peice, when it is disconnected from the drive train. I just hate to start unbolting stuff that I might not have to.
