97 CC Stock voltage reducer
Any idea how many amps the stock voltage reducer is rated at? Is the stock reducer 16volt to 12 volt? + Hooked to last two batteries in pack. - hooked to controler. Is there an advantage to adding a new aftermarket voltage reducer other than drawing off the full pack vs drawing off two batteries?
Cart In question is 97 CC DS 48 v with 6 8 v batteries. |

It would be better to get an aftermarket one that is 48v-12v so the pack is balanced. |

Re: 97 CC Stock voltage reducer
Thanks. I pulled the old stock reducer out and it is labeled as 28 amps. I tested it and its putting out just over 14 volts. The guys at the local cart shop told me when they fail they put out lower and lower voltage. I did some reading (search) about reducers and full pack vs one or two batteries. If this cart uses all accessories at the same time it will be 25 30 amps so we're going with a 48 to 12 reducer.
