Default motor wiring configuration

Hey guys, I just picked up a 1986 CC DS electric, and want to test the motor. I looked around at wiring schematics, which show 2 studs on either side. Mine seems to have all 4 in a straight line. Which is which, and which ones do I join in series and which can I hit with jumpers to a batt to test? I appreciate any help!

Your motor case should have the A1 ans S1 type stud identification lightly stamped into the case.
Some close inspection or careful cleaning may reveal them.

Thanks for the reply. I hooked the grounds together and the hots together, and got it to go by hooking/unhooking the jumpers to my welders battery. Now to get the throtle peddle to work! Picked it up as a freebie, now I am going to flip it for some dough. I have a guy who wants it for $250, so I want to get it going the best I can for him... plus I want to play with it in the meantime!
