What Volt Meter setting?
I have borrowed a nice little volt meter to track down why my headlights on my 1994 48 volt Club Car will not come on after installing a new carbon fibre dashboard.
The owner said to set the meter at 50 DC. I have but I cannot get anything to register no matter what wires I tap on. Do I need to set it to something different? If I have power to the light switch shouldn't the volt meter register the continuity if I touch each side of the switch? Thanks...Black Magic is not my thing as you can probably tell. |

Re: What Volt Meter setting?
. . . put positive lead from meter on light switch and negative lead from meter on a negative wire/negative battery terminal to get reading . . .

Re: What Volt Meter setting?
Set the meter on 200VDC just to be safe... then test read a battery or two... what do you get?

Re: What Volt Meter setting?
NO...You won't get a reading from one side of the switch to the other. UNLESS the switch is off and continuity to negative side of the battery (s) on the other side.
