Unhappy 88 Wiring Question

avid-fisher@sbcglobal.net New to carting.
I think I have an 88 club car .
The serial number starts out with A88 .
The cart has been sitting for about six months .
The batteries took a charge after cleaning the cables ,but the cart won't go.
Want to make sure I got all the wires in the right place .
I looked at al the posts on this site for a wiring diagrams and they all seem al ittle differnt .
The 89 to 03 diagram looks like the charger is built in .
the 87 wiring diagram looks closer , but the batteries look to be in a differnt position than mine .
My cart has a white wire cooming from the ground side of the charger plug .
My charger plugs in .
The cart has v-gide controler and resistors behide the batteries .
Any help would be very helpful .
Thanks G B

The wiring schematic is listed here. (#2 on tha wiring page) http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...html#post16470 . It is the correct one, I also have an 88 like your and it is the one I used. The picture is not very close as far as placement of components but the wiring is right.

Check to see that the micro switch on the F&R is working. Then check to see that the micro switch inside the V-glide is working. Next check to see that the solenoid is working. The most common "not working cart" problems lie in these three areas? Good luck
