Hydraulic brake system. Out of production for 30 plus years.
No parts available

I don't know about the "Caroche" nomenclature, but my 1979 CC has hydraulic brakes. We rebuilt the entire system, including a new line from the master cylinder to the rear. Replaced both wheel cylinders and the master cylinder; the wheel cylinders could probably have been rebuilt, but I didn't check for parts availability. We even bought new shoes. Even thought the RH and LH wheel cylinders are different, we ended up with 2 that were the same. No big deal, as we were replacing the steel lines anyway, so just bent things a bit differently.

This project was done last Fall, probably October or early November.

IIRC, the entire project cost about $300.00. I found 2 places that sold the parts, but one jacked up the price after I placed the order, so I went with the other outfit.

I've looked and looked, but can't find who I bought from. Found them originally by searching for "Club Car brake parts" or perhaps "Club Car hydraulic brake parts".

If the Caroche is something different, please ignore the above.

My Dad did one a few years ago.He used a rebuilt master-cylinder for a 1940 Ford,If I remember correctly,it bolted in.They sell them thru Speedway Motors and any Street-Rod supplier,Maybe even some auto-parts suppliers.Hope this helps.

Hmmm... My NAPA store couldn't help me, but he did a quick Google and found a couple of vendors. When I returned home, I did the same and ordered from them.

. . . just a guess, but maybe back in the day CC outsourced their brake parts to the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury people . . .

That is exactly what I was thinking. Do you think the wheel cylinders are the same as one used on a car? I have been trying to cross reference and haven't had any luck.Any suggestions, I really don't want to pay 50 to 60 dollars per cylinder.

. . . you could try taking the part numbers to NAPA or some place and see if they can do that . . . 6251 driver's side and 6250 passenger's side . . . better yet, take them the wheel cylinder to match up or find a rebuild kit for it . . .
