2002 Club Car, inherited it with new wife a couple of years ago. Replaced batteries with Trojans in November. Few weeks ago wife went to move it, it wouldn't budge, she came got me, got in, put it in forward and away I went. This past week, I went to move it, turned it on, put in reverse, buzzer buzzing, hit the pedal, heard audible click, but would not move. Tried forward, same thing. New to this golf cart business, would appreciate any ideas before carrying it to the shop and being at their mercy. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forum, try the basic stull, are the batteries low?, wire connections clean and tight? Can you use a volt/ohm meter? Do a visual to see if anything looks like it fell off or is "just not right". if you are hearing a click it means your solenoid is working but anything downstream of that could mess up your day. Keep plugging away, Randy

Check your motor terminals with a simple ohm meter. Run from the positive pole on the motor to the neg. see if yiu get a reading across the two. Next check and see if tou hane power coming from the controller.
Good Luck, Flick out |

Just because the solenoid clicks does not always mean it is working. You can use a short jumper cable to connect the two big terminals on it. This bypasses the solenoid. If the cart runs get a new one.

Be sure to put the rear wheels on jack stands when trouble shooting. Don't want the cart taking off, dragging you with it.
