Default Upgrade Precedent shocks

OK I want to get rid of the old stock shocks on my 04 electric Precedent and can't find anything in my search that will work so I know someone has done this upgrade so if you have let me know what shocks you used oh also I have a 6" AllSport A Arm lift installed.

Has anyone switched the stock junk Club Car Precedent shocks for a automotive or atv shock? Any help would be appreciated

I have seen this question before, and sadly there is never a response. I guess we are stuck with the CC OEM shocks?

Thanks for the response Steve, I seen someone with a Precedent at one time that had a set of coil over shocks on front of cart but think that they had a LT lift on it so guess I will just try to do some experimenting to see if I can find something that will work..

Maybe they had a long travel lift kit and it came with those shocks? Let me know what you find, as my shocks are 5 years old and I would like new ones too!

I have a Yamaha drive that has 4 way coil over shocks. They are definitely longer then the precedent shocks but may work real well with a lift kit installed. The drive doesn't have leaf springs in the rear so the shocks are the entire suspension. If you are looking to go that route I could give you some measurements. Some modifying would have to be done because they don't have threaded studs on each side, just bolts that's go through horizontally like regular shocks. However you could get a threaded stud the size of a normal precedent shock end, and weld a bracket across the top that extends up where the Yamaha shock could bolt into. Or if you have an aluminum welder just put new brackets on the frame.

Army Vet,
Why can't you just remove them and measure the travel and find some replacements?

That was my next coarse of action I was just being lazy and seeing if someone had already done the work already and figured out what works..Tdawg I'm basically looking for added performance and like Steve said and something looks better than stock shocks but performance is top priority
