Smile Lithium golf car batteries

Anybody tried lithium batteries in their golf car?

Dealer here in Sun Lakes is offering them - pretty pricey at "around" $2,000 for a set. Dealer says 5 year warranty and life expectancy of 15-20 years.

Carguy,
I really would like to get some Lithium batts but cant really justify the price yet. I think you have to get a new charger also? I wonder if there is more run time with them? You prob end up loosing a couple of hundreds pounds also!

I don't mean to hijack the thread but seems to be the same topic. I am also seriously considering trying lithium batteries in place of my lead acids.

It is inferred by some that LiFePO4 batteries last longer per charge and thus need fewer Ah than comparable lead acids. Is there any truth to this?

Secondly, are there any other changes or considerations regarding wiring of the TXT freedom when making the switch?

Hey guys the dealer in Sun Lakes carries my father's batteries. He spent 4 years developing the technology and the dealer in Sun Lakes was an early adopter of his technology. We have 200 carts on the field in last year and half. The dealer in Sun Lakes has sold 100 of them. Learn more by searching for lithium boost technologies
