Default 05 precedent issue

my 05 precedent has developed an issue. when you turn on the cart and put it forward and push the gas pedal nothing happens for a few seconds. it will go after a few seconds but you have to kinda feather the gas peadl to get it gouing and then it runs fine. i have changed the MCOR last year and have serviced the batteries. the speed sensor is working properly. i am wondering if resetting the OBC would make a change. im out of ideas. any help would be great. thanks

Sounds like an mcor to me. I have changed 2 2012 mcors because they were producing erratic throttle response so it's not out of the question. Does the solenoid click when you depress the pedal slightly or is that delayed along with the movement of the cart? If you had someone hook up an iqdm they could monitor throttle and see how it's responding OR you could disconnect the wire harness from the mcor and check the mcor on ohms while you press the pedal. DVM should react exactly to pedal movement and not be erratic. OBC has nothing to do with the cart while its running.

The solenoid clicks when pedal is pushed and the reverse buzzer works as it should. It's like the cart has to be woke up by pressing the pedal once and then waiting just a couple of seconds. I replaced the Mcor with used one. The one that was in the buggy was jerky at cruising speed. It stopped with the new one but now acts stupid at takeoff.

It can easily be tested like I said with DVM on ohms and moving the pedal. Tough to do with one person but it can be done. I would definitely check that first cause that would be my guess as the problem especially as the solenoid clicks when you first push the pedal.

Disconnect 16pin connector at controller, set multimeter for 20k ohms connect + probe of DVM to yellow wire at MCOR 3 pin connector, connect - probe to purple wire..
With accelerator pedal fully up not pressed the dvm should read approximately 1k ohms.
Slowly press accelerator pedal the resistance should rise on dvm when pedal is all the way to the floor dvm should read between 5.67k and 7.43k ohms. Then keep set at 20k put + probe on yellow wire in mcor 3 pin connector - probe to white/ black wire with pedal all way up should read between 5.67 - 7.43 ohms then slowly push pedal and resistance should drop as you push pedal when its all way to floor should read around 1k ohms. If MCOR doesn't operate as described Manual says to replace the MCOR
