New Trojan batteries but trouble with accessories, power drain

Hello. Have a 1994 Club Car DS. Scotty B sold me a nice new controller and it was installed by a local shop after some 'issues' the shop had in understanding Scotty's Instructions. Not sure what the issue was; the instructions seemed quite clear. Anyway, ever since then the accessories have not worked properly. The front lights don't work, the turn signal doesn't work, horn tries to honk but really cannot. There is a 12V accessory port and a button switch for some LED lights. There is a fuse panel with 6 20 amp fuses. They are all good though the three on the left side were blown before i replaced them. The wiring behind the dashboard makes me want to say a few Hail Mary's every time I think I have the courage to tackle it. The old batteries were shot and just gave up; the cart would only crawl along even after charging. Bought some new Trojan T105's and a digital meter from Scotty. Using new 2 gauge cables my sons made. We are in the break in on the batteries but i notice they are experiencing what seems a high power drain. My son took a fully charged cart (took a reading off the batteries before he used it) about 300 yards to the creek, parked it (key off), drove it back at dusk and the batteries were at 37.6, about 80%. I followed another earlier thread on how to link the batteries together and connect the accessorie wiring but am experiencing these problems. We are thinking of just putting another 12v battery in the back storage and running new wires to the accessories but not sure if that will cure the power drain. I appreciate any help you can give. jonl.

When you take open circuit voltage readings you must give the batteries several hours to stabilize their voltage. This goes for either charging or discharging.
The accessory problems are more than likely just a wire left off of the battery pack. I'm assuming that they were connected that way before.

Forgot to put in the initial post that the rear lights work. There is a black wire that looks as if it runs to the rear lights that it is connected to the negative post of the third battery in the series, the one with the red accessories wire (I think that is what it is) connected to the positive post of that same battery that runs to the fuse box.

Is the" local shop " a golf car shop or some other kind of shop. If they are unfamiliar with golf cars, they may have grounded the black wire you mentioned to the frame. This is an absolute no-no. If they are a golf car shop, I can't imagine what issue they would have installing a converter. Good luck.
