Default 91 Club Car 36v won't go

I replaced my 2.5 motor with a 3.5 motor. It ran fine for 2 days. The last time I drove it acted like the batteries were weak and it just stopped. I recharged the batteries and have 38 volts, but I get nothing. Could the larger motor damaged another part. When the other motor went out you could hear the solenoid click. Now I hear nothing. I have 38 volts on one side of the solenoid and nothing on the other when I press the gas pedal.

Please help.

There's your problem right there. Key on + press gas peddle = 36 volts in and out of the solenoid. Possible bad solenoid or microswitch. Check to see you have voltage between the two small wires on the solenoid at the same key on + peddle pressed situation...If not, check the microswitch.

Both Small posts have 36volts when I push the gas pedal.

I replaced the solenoid with a new one. Still does not go. I checked the voltage again and I have 38volts on 3 of the posts and nothing where it goes out to the vglide. Do you think I got a bad solenoid or am I missing something. It does have to come out of the solenoid and then go through the vglide to power the motor doesn't it.

Absolutely !!!
Do u have 36v accross the two small terminals when the gas peddle is pushed? And 36v at one large solenoid terminal but never accross to the other.....?

Before I push the pedal I have 36v on one small terminal, green wire, when I push the pedal I have 36v on the other side. It is going to the micros switch on the f/r switch.
Does polarity matter on this solenoid? It was not marked, will it work in either direction?
When I am checking for the 36v I am going from ground on the battery and then to each small post. When I checked from small post to small post(across) I got nothing.

Thanks

I think the small posts polarity are your problem. I have 36 across the two small terminals. The negative is constant and the positive comes from the micro switch at the F&R.
So, It doesn't matter which side is which. One side is pos and the other is neg....when that happens the solenoid operates...... I think it will run when you fix this.
