Default Questions on DS 2002 IQ cart??

Hi Gang,

I'm not familair with the DS IQ carts and have some questions. My recently new to me 2002 DS IQ has lights (front & back) a horn and I think it has wiring for brake lights (not sure), & I think it has a converter as well.

I have not had a lot of time to investigate with my DVM but have attached some pics to hopefully see if y'all can help me out.

The first 2 pic is what I think is the converter although this could just be something else. Is that a standard part on these carts and is it a converter? It's mounted on the inside of the frame on the drivers side just behind the bat's.

The next pic appears to be a power block that I think is for 12v.

Last pic is the wires to the block (whatever that is) on the back of the brake. Does that look like what it is? The brake lights don't work but I have not checked the bulbs to see if they are dual element.

thanks for any help.

Just from the pics..the first 2 are of a converter so you are right there...the last is of the brake light switch. the third is of a power block but have no idea where it goes or does.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I was pretty sure that is what that all was. I will be tearing into this thing here before to long to get the mechanical stuff working (really just the brakes dragging) and figure out the brake light issue. I'm sure the 12v power block is feeding the lights and horn.
I have new brake kits, wheels, & tires on the way and working on getting the 57 Chevy body with retro turquoise paint.. If anyone has done a search for custom bodies, then you have probably seen it on eBay..

Once I start the project, I will create a thread and post pics as I know the junkies out here like to see pics. At least this junkie does..

Electronically, the cart is sound and runs really good. New bat's are breaking in good (using the Stinky as I did last time) and they really hold the charge.

I love this forum and all the help I get from everyone!!!!
