First Cart Purchase
OK I am hooked...A junkie, I have been reading about carts on this site for months in preperation of my purchase. I am looking at 2 carts a 06 Club car with 4 12v new batteries. Or 2010 Club car with 2010 batteries load tested...about 300 dollars higher for the 2010. (I am leaning to the 2010) Any recomendations...If you could do it all over what would you do different? I am intrested in buying the cart just about complete... A arm lift new wheels/tires, Lights. I want to install radio and dash but for the most part this is my plan any sugestions? Cart will be a show queen...drive it around the neighborhood... take it to the beach... Must have electric for my homeowners group. Thanks in advance for the advice! If this is like everything else I do I will be a regular here

Re: First Cart Purchase
. . . first of all to BGW!
. . . if it were me with your choices, I would opt for the 2010 for only the $300 difference . . . . . . |

Re: First Cart Purchase
Welcome,,,, I would most likely opt for the 2010 for if only $300 more.
However the one I bought is a 2006 and the factory wire harness is there if you are adding the light === yo will need to order the harness if i understand correctly for the 2010. Other with more expertise my know for sure. |

Re: First Cart Purchase
Yes, welcome! I would go for the 2010 for only $300 more as well. But, do your research. Does it have an IQ system or Excel? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Excel system limit motor upgrades? Just some things to consider. I thought I read about someone having an issue trying to upgrade to a PQ Bandit with the Excel system? PQ took down their forum, so I can't go back to read about that issue.

Re: First Cart Purchase
The 2010 probably has the 8 volt bat setup which would be better. If you get the serial number we could give you a better idea of future upgrades. If excel probably a pain in butt, would need an IQ wire harness to convert to the other controller type which would allow a new motor, also it could have a junk throttle that would make an upgrade even more cumbersome.
The 2006 gets my vote for future ease of upgrades based on the info we have, but I hate the 12 volt bat setup, but you could change over whenever you replace bats again. |

Re: First Cart Purchase
The 2006 will be prewired for lights, as the 2010 will not.
Precedents made after 2008 do not have the wiring harness prewired. |
