Battery cables
I have gathered all the things needed to make new 4g cables for my 05 precedent. I raised the seat and found that the cables on it appear to be as big as the ones I bought. I seriously doubt they have been replaced prior to me getting this cart. Does anyone know what color wires are stock on this cart??? I would assume 6g but without seeing the actual core I'm not sure

Re: Battery cables
Stock Battery Cables are 6 awg when upgrading you want to get a high quality welding cable to replace all your cables with checkout ScottyB's website and he has a lot info on there and you can see the cables he uses and sells, I just replaced all my cables recently with 2awg welding cables..

Re: Battery cables
I almost got the 2g but after thinking on it got the 4g. I was just shocked to see the outside size is almost exactly the same diameter. But I'm guessing the inside diameter is smaller cause I can't see them being upgraded prior to my purchase

Re: Battery cables
When I got my cable to make my own 4 gauge cables I thought the same thing. There isn't a lot of difference between 6 and 4 gauge cable on the outside or inside. I actually used a micrometer on both just to make sure I hadn't been sold 6 gauge cable instead of 4. BUT it makes all the difference in the world when you use the 4 over the 6!!

Re: Battery cables
Couple more things to consider, not all jackets are the same thickness. And cable that has corroded on the inside tends to SWELL and look bigger than it is.

Re: Battery cables
Doesn't the cable have specs printed on it? The ones that Scotty made for me have the specs/type printed on the outside.
