My new Cart
I picked up a 2010 Precedent. I am going to have to replace the tires. It appears the tow in is off. When the left wheel is straight, the right is towing out. Are there any alignment specs, or do you just pull a string from front to rear and adjust accordingly?

Re: My new Cart
You do not want any tow out for sure. I would at least adjust it for a little tow in for now and then look for specs. Stringing it will work if nothing gets in the way between the front and back tire.

Re: My new Cart
Well, I got the front end aligned thanks to some good info I found in a search, but another problem came up. The right wheel bearing is making a noise. I have not pulled the hub off yet but from what I read the bearings are not easy to replace. Has anyone changed the bearings in the hubs?

I am thinking that your front wheel bearings are sealed and you will just need to replace the hub.

You cart came with a four year warranty. You should be able to go to your local club car dealer and pay a transfer fee of about $35 and transfer the remainder of the warranty to yourself. Then your hubs should be covered. It's a very simple process. I was able to do that for my 2010 Precedent last year. Now, Club Car is replacing 5 of the 6 Crown batteries which came with the cart under warranty. Club Car can be slow to deal with on the warranty claim but they came through. It was well worth the transfer fee. You should check that out at least. |
