Help with new project!!!
Hey guys.. I think this is the right place to post this. Tax refunds are in so I am about to purchase me a club car DS 48 volt. i am wanting to turn it into my hunting cart. I want to be able to carry 3 to 4 people most times. Spped is not a prioirty, more run time and torque. I would like a 6" lift with 22" tires. I know I need high torque moter, high amp controller, HD solenoid< HD f&R switch and HD wires. The problem is I have no idea which to get. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks guys! Also, would it hurt to lift with tires first before i replaced motor as long as I did not run full speed?

Re: Help with new project!!!
you can go ahead and put lift on now and as far as motors go checkout EMP,Plum Quick and D&D for a high torque motor they all three are good places,if you call EMP ask to speak with Chuck and tell him exactly what you are wanting and he will tell you if it can be done he is very good guy to deal with, for controller F&R switch HD Solenoid and new Cables talk to ScottyB he will hook you up he is on the forum here or go to his website at Carts unlimited he is great guy to deal with as well and can answer any questions you may have.Good luck and be sure to post pictures

Re: Help with new project!!!
I have an 03 CC 48 v series cart. I have a 6" lift with 23" tires. Been running this way for 3+ years and use it mainly at hunting camp. I don't carry 3-4 people though. Maybe 2 people and a dead deer. No problems with motor or controller yet.
