Welcome to the forum Freeze, I too have a Precedent and am going thru a rebuild so I can definite ly point you in the right direction, for speed you can have your stock controller updated with speed code 4 or as I did I replaced stock controller with 500 amp Alltrax controller then replaced stock motor with EMP LR3.22 and also have a Plum Quick Executioner motor, also want to upgrade your solenoid to a HD 400amp also upgrade all your cables you could add taller tires as well,it all boils down to how much your looking to spend and how fast you want the cart to go.Also want to make sure your battery pack is in good shape.Hope this gives you A few ideas to think about if need any help just shoot me a message and I will help you all I can..

I haven't had a chance to run the Executioner yet s I just got it delivered, I really like the EMP motor that Chuck built for me but I always hear about PQ so I figured I would give the Executioner a shot so I bought one so I will swap them out soon and reprogram my controller for it and see which one I will stay with then the other will either be sold or saved for a possible future project.

Thank you Army,

It looks like I need to do some research but this does indeed give me a good start in the right direction. Are you familiar with the "SpeedLink"? It seams almost to good to be true (very cheap and very easy) is it a gimmick?

I have heard both good and bad, for the price I guess it would be worth trying its cheaper than paying to have speed code 4 programmed into stock controller so I would probably give it a shot..

Wow I was wrong I thought I seen the Speedy Link for around $80 somewhere so disregard what I said if your close to a dealer I would probably just go with the code upgrade but if your like me it would cost more in gas to get to haul my cart to a dealer so I try to do things myself at home..

It is not easy for me to get my cart to a dealer, no trailer and the dealer is 30 miles away. So, $140 doesn't seem to bad if it works and does not damage the cart.

Hey Freeze, look up speed magnets on ebay, they are like $40 and accomplish the same task as any o the other options mentioned. Just want to make sure you have the advance motor whereby the speed sensor attaches to the motor with two screws. Get a flashlite and peak through the passenger rear wheel area to see the back of the motor.
