Default 48 to 36 motor

I read all the time about going from 36 to 48 conversions. This works,I know.
My question is, can I get the same results by changing out a 48 volt motor to a 36 volt motor. Now this is a club car 2000 model ds 48 volt.
Thanks
Sonny

Your cart MUST be a series cart for this to work. Do you have a lever forward reverse switch or a rocker switch for forward reverse? It must be the lever forward reverse switch for this to work. And yes this works really good.

It does have the shift on the floor, for all the old guys. Not button type.

See, that's what's wrong with Club Car! Well, that, and a few other things, LOL!
