Default Charger issues

1999 Club Car charger fell off of bench (about 4 feet) Now when I plug it into the cart, i hear a click but charger does not engage and charge. (no movement in needle or hum) Does anyone have any ideas on how to repair this? Thanx very much!

First pull off cover and check for loose wires. If wires are all ok, I would bypass relay and see if it charges then.

Will do!
So I jump the two black wires on the relay, correct?
If that doesn't work is my transformer toast?
Please say no!

Thanx very much for the help!

A fall shouldn't hurt the transformer ( unless the windings got punctured ), the circuit board more than likely cracked. Parts are available for many transformer type chargers. We'll have to know what it is and it's serial and model #'s.

It's a 17930 and i have no circuit board just a circuit breaker, relay, heatsink, fuse or fusible link and the transformer. Bypassing the relay does seem to get it charging again but it appears the fall took out the ammeter. Will replace relay and go from there. Thanks!
