Default Club Car Hunting Cart

picked up a 2004 cc ds iq and decided to build one tuff hunting cart! So I gave TahoeDawgZ71 a PM and then a phone call, he is going to make it a series cart and rewire the cart. The man knows his stuff about carts !! Then I gave PQ a call and talked to Rick which I have dealt with him and Robby before, some great guys @ PQ.
Here`s what we came up with:

6 New 8 Volt batteries (trojans)
PQ Grizzly 2 Torque motor
700 Amp 48 Volt GE Controller
1 gage Wire
New HD Solenoid
Reversing Contactor
New 48 volt DPI battery Charger

I installed a 6" Allsports Super Sports lift with 23" tires and new batteries.
I took the cart to TahoeDawgZ71,(what a Professional guy)he answered all the questions I had and then some. He would send me updates and was very fast to get it done. He said I would like the results of how it turned out and he was right. Exactly what I wanted, tons of Torque and some speed.(22mph) I am putting it back together and have put the back seat on and still have to cover the front ones and cut some lights in. Getting the body dipped after Turkey season.

Schunter,

What model batteries did you drop in that beast? Also, are they lasting a reasonable amount of time? That thing has to have torque like crazy.

I'm debating doing 8 - 6 Volts to get longer range, but I've never had a set of new 8 Volts in my cart and have nothing to gauge it against. Just don't want to spend the extra fab time and money on batteries if it will fix my cart by just putting new batteries in.

Nice cart!!

I installed Trojan T-875 ,,I`m still breaking the batteries in but it doesn`t seem to be much differnt than my other cart`s when i was breaking the new batteries in on them., Turkey season will tell,,,,And yes it has some crazy Torque,,I use my cart for hunting and I have not had a problem with run time with the 8 volt`s
