Powerwise charger doesn't shut off
I had a customer bring in an older 48V Club Car DS with the charger. I checked it out and found that the batteries had been boiled,(6 x 8volt) and the charger would not shut off. I replaced the batteries with Napa batteries, b/c the customer had an account there. After replacing the batteries, and cleaning up the cables, I put the cart on the charger. Everything looked good, short pause before the charger came on, and it went to 15 amps. After a few hours, it was down to 4 amps. Left the cart on the charger overnight, and upon returning to work the next morning, I found the batteries boiling, and the charger still reading a 4 amp output. I then plugged one of my chargers in. My charger came on, and then shut off, so I know it's not the cart. I had my doubts, but I replaced the relay in the charger anyway, and it still won't ever shut off. Any ideas what might be wrong with this guys charger? It is just a Power Drive, not a II or III.
