Jacking up rear of club car precedent
Hi All,
I'm in the process of replacing the rear springs on my club car precedent with the heavy duty ones. I have a 6" all sport lift kit and I just got the 1" axle seats as well. Where do I need to place the jack on the rear of the cart to jack it up. I know I'll have to support the rear axle as well. I'm just not sure where the jack needs to hit the rear underside of the cart. Thanks |

Re: Jacking up rear of club car precedent
Although I don't have a Precedent, I did change the rear springs on my cart.
(As a precaution, always remove the source of power first! For me it was disconnecting a couple of battery cables). What I did was to raise the rear of the cart and get it on jack stands. Then I slightly raised and supported one side of the rear axle assembly and changed one side at a time. If you don't do this, and just try and do both sides at the same time, you may have the motor spin and drop down due to the weight. My cart had a small metal plate under the rear bumper. If you don't have anything like that on your Precedent, you might be able to jack up in the frame area just front of the rear wheels. Maybe someone with a Precedent will chime in. Good luck with your lift kit and springs, I really like mine! |

Re: Jacking up rear of club car precedent
Just jack up at frame in front of rear heels and stick a jack stand there. Remive jack and use the jack to jack up the axel a little to take pressure off. Do one side at a time like was stated already.

If you cant figure out how to properly jack up your cart, you should probably consider have someone else install the lift kit.
