I have seen quite a few people use them and I think they hold up ok if you are on a budget.

If you go to Engergizer website, you will find that this battery is made by Johnson Controles, Inc.(JCI). This is the same company that makes the current Club Car batteries. Club car switched from Crown to JCI. Club Car's PD+ Powedrive battery is made by JCI. I don't know how the specs of the Energizer battery compares to other golf cart batteries in capacity and weight but they are made by a reputable company.

Smile Re: Sams Club Golf Cart Batteries

I took my bathroom scales into Sam's and weighed their batteries. They weighed 66-67 pounds each for the 8 volt version.

Look up the specs for other batteries and the Sam's batteries were within 1 lb or the same as other batteries. This was 1.75 years ago - can't tell you what the specs are today.

After 1.75 years, which includes sitting in our garage in Phoenix during the summer (120-130 degrees), the batteries are still charging up to the 100% charge level.

I do have a Power Pulse desulfator on the entire pack, and a neighbor comes over during the summer and charges the batteries ever 2-3 weeks. Doesn't drive the car, just charges the batteries.

So far, I like the Sam's batteries, but I haven't had them all that long either.

My .02 worth - to each his own.

Have fun, Dave

I have some 08/08 Sams in my cart. Still runs good, and I'm not the best on maintenance.

I have 14 of them in service across two carts. They work fine for me!

I put in a set of 8V Sam's in my 2000 CC Carryall back in 5/05 and am just getting around to replacing them this Spring. They've never failed me and I'll be replacing them with another Sam's set come April.

I saw these at SAMs the other day, Ill be needing a set of new batteries soon and glad they have good reviews. They carry some other energizer batteries, higher capacity I think.

This is the price at my local SAMs.

Dang, wish I could fit 2 of those 6's in the place of each of my 12's.
