Default 90 club car 36 volt cart burnt up v glide

Good morning my friends. I have a problem. I have burnt up the v glide in my cart and have pretty much figured out why. The main problem I am having is figuring where the two wires coming off the micro switch go. The green one goes to the noid I know.I am confussed about the black wire. It was going to the F & R to the post that has a positive battery cable going to it. Now if you look at the club car diagram the black wire is going to the negative side of the charger port. I am confused about it going to the F & R why would this be?????
