Default Club Car (resistor cart) wont move

My club car resistor cart decided all of the sudden to not want to go at all. Batts are HOT (full charge meter verified), when you press the foot pedal with the ignition switch on it will go cycle thru clicking the solenoids (one at a time) but does not engage the motor or heat up the resistors. It will not click the solenoids if the ignition switch is in the off position OR if the FNR switch is in N (working correctly). Not sure where to go from here, any ideas? I gave it the once over and noticed no broken wires ETC. The wire connecting to the bottom of the FNR switch is in need of replacment due to age but it is still making a connection and has continuity.

Thanks,
Jason

Sounds to me like you have a bad solenoid. Jack up the rear wheels and block the front, and try jumping the first solenoid with a piece of wire. Sometimes a solenoid will click but not pass current.

Will the starter-generater still produce electric charge if the starter porchun does not start. I can pull start it?
Please send me an answer to chill.out1@live.com
Thanks. John

My best guess based on the information given is the F&R is not working. Or some other high amperage cable has failed in the delivery system.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will begin to do some checking on the solenoids as well as that F_N_R switch. Curious thing is that I am being told it has done this before, but it began to work as miraculously as it quit, within a few mins. They (this is a cart I bought for my parents) thought something was overheating and shutting it down, but I see no way for that to work out. Wonder what an FNR switch for this old cart would cost?

Finally got to the cart with a multi-meter. It appears to be a bad solenoid, first one on the drivers side. I am going to pick one up this morning and will let you know for sure if that repairs it. Thanks again for the replies.

The 1st solenoid on the driver's side is indeed the Master solenoid. It relays power to the drive solenoids. If it is not working right the cart will not run.
