Default 2008 precesedent going so slow

Hello. I am brand new to this forum. I was told by several friends down here in the villages in florida to try this site for some help. I am driving a 08 cc Precesedent and we just put some new batteries in it. It was running slow so that is why I put batteries in. It still goes slow and I have now idea why it is doing this. I think I could walk faster than this cart right now. Is there anybody out here that can help me out. I can work on it but have no idea where to start. Thank y'all from old country boy grandpa

. . . first of all . . . to BGW . . . .

. . . as for speed issue, sounds like a bad speed sensor . . . try pushing the cart with the key on, switch in forward . . . you should feel resistance (as if someone is putting their foot lightly on brake) and the reverse alarm should start to beep (runaway alarm) . . . if you do not experience this, chances are the speed sensor on the back of the motor is bad . . . when speed sensor is not working, the speed controller will default to a "limp" mode of about 8mph . . .

Sorry I didn't get back on here right away but the speed sensor was the problem. Now I wanna lift my cart 6" but not sure what the best size tire is to use. Can anyone tell me if the 22 or 23 will be better with the 6" on this precedent.

Welcome to the forum grandpa, as far as tire size either would work but I would probably go with the 22" tire if you plan on keeping stock controller and motor..The bigger the tires the more power it takes to turn them and in return you lose some torque..let me change that first statement I guess it will also depend on what lift you use if the 23" tires would work or not

I am running the Jakes long travel 6inch lift with 23 tires.
I use my cart in town and also in the woods. Everything on my cart is stock and it does fine now with that said I will upgrade when needed.
Oh yeah welcome.

I own a 2007 Precedent
