2008 club car precedent wont go over 13 mph
Batteries are fully charged and only 1yr old, i bought the speed magnet and it still only does 13. Any ideas? I do not have a programmer to see what speed setting it is on, but isn't the magnet supposed to bypass all that?

You can always take it to a dealer to see what speed code you're on. |

I would just take off the magnet and get code 4 installed for $100. Magnets are not really CC certified, I have code 4 on my cart and I'm pleased with the speed and torque. |

Re: 2008 club car precedent wont go over 13 mph
Mine will only get 17.7 on flat ground WITH code 4 and a speed magnet But then I don`t have a lot of flat ground. I think it may be because of cheap batteries. They are fairly new and came with the cart. I do get much faster on a slight down grade and up to 24.7 on little steeper downgrade. I do get 15 on an upgrade though. What wires do you have? 4 gauge will make a difference over stock 6 gauge.

Re: 2008 club car precedent wont go over 13 mph
"In theory", with speed code 4, properly inflated tires, a FULLY charged pack, no brake drag, no wind resistance, and all stock components and wires, you should get 19.6 mph on completely level ground. Basically 19.6 is the absolute max you will get in the perfect conditions. Typically your average is slower than this...
