Tire Pressure Question

I have the following tires on my cart 205/65-10 Kenda Load Star Tires. They are DOT with street treads. On the side it says MAX LOAD 1100 pounds at 35psi. Is the optimum air pressure 35psi?

They are trailer-tires,hence the high weight-capacity and pressure recommendation.You can probably get by at half of that.Experiment with it.Try them at say 15psi,drive it around,if it feels tight on the road,turns good without a sense of tire-roll,then try them a little softer.You will notice the difference as you adjust the pressure.Watch the sidewalls,you don't want them to squat hardy at all.Hope this helps.

28 psi works well for me on DOT street tires. Mostly paved roads, some gravel, and the occasional trail ride (in the early spring before the brush grows into the trail, lol).

Do the chalk test. Fill the tires to say 30lbs & make a line with chalk on the tires then drive it & make sure the chalk wears off evenly, adjust pressures accordingly.
