Default Looking to Upgrade my 99' CC DS 48v

Who has the best prices for new controller/Motor upgrades?
I would like to buy a package deal. Looking for Mostly torque with some speed upgrades.
My cart is a 1999 CC DS 48v series. It is lifted with 23" tires and rear seat. Currently running about 15mph. Would like to get around 20mph or better with significant torque increase.
Thanks for any insights!

subscribing...in the same boat here. 1st post...looking for ideas. I have a 2000 Club Car DS 48V Regen II (powerdrive plus). Looking for more/mostly torque and some speed. My stock cart will only go about 12MPH and slows on hills pretty bad.

Which controller do you have?

Scottyb suggested I go with the FSIP 500 Regen II controller and HD solenoid. 4g cables. Hoping to use my original motor to keep costs down.

Does anyone have this same setup and have successfully upgraded the performance?

I have done hours of reading on here and I seem to see more negative comments that positive ones such as: upgrades did little to improve performance over stock.

I have a series cart so i think mine is different than yours.
My cart is lifted with 23" tires and stock controller/motor/cables currently at 15mph.
I just ordered an Alltrax 4855 controller with 2ga wires today. I will be adding the motor and solenoid here shortly but hoping to get around 60% gain in torque and 23mph out of it all sad and done (thats what sales rep told me anyway). I will keep you posted once i get everything and in.

Please give us a GPS result when you get the controller and cables on your cart. I don't know what the rep is talking about. You will not gain speed from installing a bigger controller on a series cart. How much was the upgrade? Where did you get it?

You are correct. He said once i install Controller, cables, Solenoid and Motor is when i will see torque and speed gains.
I will be happy to report my speed once i buy my motor and install it. I have only purchased the controller and cables at this point.
I am buying from EV Drives.

correct- my cart is a sepex regen cart. I am learning all this stuff- wow it is quite the learning curve. Good luck with your project. I am just about ready to pull the trigger on my hop-ups also.

I have a '99 CC DS powerdrive II (48V). I put an 8" lift with 14" rims and 23" tires. I bought the 500amp Alltrax controller and the executioner motor from PQ (definately not cheap). Upgraded to 1/0awg cables and new HD solenoid (as well as brand new T-875 Trojans). Everything else on the cart is also new (complete rebuild).

I am still not 100% done, but have taken it for a ride. The V-glide only goes up about 3/4 of the way (haven't done final adjustments yet) and I am getting 28mph (per GPS).

One thing I will note, if you use this setup, you only need one solenoid as the Alltrax controller esentially turns this cart into an IQ cart and gets rid of the regen solenoid. I actually ordered 2 solenoids from PQ and did not need the other one. But so far, I am extremely happy with the speed and torque I get.

Will your extra solenoid work on my 48v series cart? If so, i might be interested in buying it from you. I still have the solenoid and motor to purchase.

Not sure about a series cart, but someone else on here should know...its just a 400amp Heavy Duty solenoid
