48v Club Car is slow

I am working on a club car that was given to me. I have the brand new batteries in (Napa Deka BCI #24DCM). It is running slow. I have a low tire that I couldn't put air in at that time, but can't see it making that much of a difference.

Is there anything that could be making it this slow? I have not put it on the charger yet (due to charger not working) but gauge reads the batteries are fully charged and they are reading 49Volts.

That brand of battery is not a main brand ? what amp / hr rating is it ?
Did you leave your batts charge over night before putting them in ?
49 volts is not high enough , need to let your batts charge on charger

How slow?
Deka I think is a decent battery...
Break them in correctly, they will not reach their full potential for several charge cycles.
Is the cart stock?

Del have you checked and made sure your brakes are not dragging?
Jack the back of the cart up and spin both back tires to verify no brake resistance.

How slow is cart running?

49 Volts is only a little over 60% charged. I would make sure you fully charge the batteries before riding anymore. Charge them fully, then wait about 12 hours or so and check pack voltage. It should be 50.93V for full charge. Check the sticky on state of charge for batteries: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-readings.html

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like a marine cranking amp battery not suitable for golf carts.
